Bluewater Addresses Hay Hall Coverage Concerns

Bluewater council has moved to address the issue of insurance coverage at the Hay Township Hall.

Members of the Hay Township Hall committee had asked council for clarification of their liability when renting the hall out to the public. The issue was whether they were covered by the municipality's insurance since they were not actually a committee of council.

At last week's committee of the whole meeting council voted to make the Hay Township Hall committee a committee of council for the purpose of including committee members under the municipality's insurance.

Mayor Tyler Hessel points out the motion still has to be ratified at next week's council meeting but adds the financial impact will be minimal so he expects it will be passed.
