South Bruce Issues Total Burn Ban

The list of municipalities banning open fires in midwestern Ontario continues to grow as extremely dry conditions persist.

The latest is South Bruce with a total burn ban is in effect, which includes campfires and recreational fires.

The burning ban is in place until further notice and affects the communities of Mildmay, Carrick, Teeswater, Culross, Formosa and Belmore.

Yesterday, similar bans were imposed in Hanover and Brockton.

Brockton is still allowing recreational fires at campgrounds and trailer parks from 7pm to 11pm.
