Nithburg Fibre To Home Project Funding

A Perth County hamlet can expect better internet service in the near future. Joint funding from the federal and provincial governments will support a Fibre-to-the-Home Project for residents of Nithburg.

The plan by Mornington Communications Cooperative would see the extension of the existing fibre optic network from Milverton to Nithburg.

The Government of Canada has selected this project for funding consideration for up to $137,375 under the Small Communities Fund. This funding is conditional on the project meeting applicable federal eligibility requirements.

The Province of Ontario will contribute up to $137,375 to the project. Mornington Communication Co-operative will be responsible for all remaining costs of the project.
