New Doctor Joins Peninsula Health Team

The Peninsula Family Health Team will welcome a new doctor in late September.

Dr. Elaine Blau will join the Northern Bruce Peninsula practice, after recently working at the Lion's Head Hospital and health team clinics during a maternity leave for Dr. Appleton.

Blau has over 20 years of family practice experience, and currently serves as the Rural Stream Sites director for the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster University.

She will take on Dr. George Harpur's patients when he retires at the end of September.

Harpur will continue in his role as provincial coroner for the area, medical director for the Tobermory Hyperbaric Facility, and other local projects.

Dr. Blau and her husband Brian have been summer residents in Tobermory for many years and look forward to making the area their permanent home.
