Hometown Hockey Game In Goderich

One of the organizers of tomorrow's Hometown Hockey Heroes charity game in Goderich expects the event to surpass last year's fundraising mark.

Last year's game at the Maitland Rec Centre raised $40,000 for the Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Gateway Centre of Excellence in Rural Health in Seaforth and the Goderich-Huron YMCA's Strong Kids program.

Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb says this year's teams will again be captained by Ryan O'Reilly and team Boyd Devereaux and will feature several local current and former NHL players including the newest Maple Leaf, Drayton's Nick Spaling.

The doors of the Maitland Rec Centre in Goderich open at 6pm tomorrow with opening ceremonies scheduled for 6:45pm and the opening face-off at 7pm.
