Benefit Ride For 3-Year-Old Leukemia Patient Set For Arthur

A benefit motorcyle ride for a 3-year-old Drayton boy battling leukemia will go Saturday in Arthur.

Evan Conway was diagnosed with leukemia in October.

Organizer Jennifer Miller says the ride will start at Liquidation King in Arthur at 9am, and finish at a farm north of Fergus on Hwy. 6 later in the afternoon.

"We're just charging $15 whether we ride or not. The more money we can raise, the more it is going to help the family," says Miller.

Evan’s mother Maggie had to quit her job during her son’s treatment, which is expected to take two-and-a-half years to complete.

The Conway family received a free furnace from a local Arthur company back in January.

More on the event can be found here.
