Saugeen Shores Celebrates Centennial Pool's 40th Birthday

Saugeen Shores residents can celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Centennial Pool as debate continues on the facility's future.

It's contest and demo day this afternoon including the belly flop contest, a rubber duck race, water front and pool rescue demos between 1:45pm and 3pm.

The official celebration party runs from 7pm-9pm tomorrow evening.

The festivities will include a lifeguard and pool community reunion, lifeguard demos and "fun show"

There will be highlights from the Saugeen Shores Lifesaving Club's national title.

On Saturday and Sunday there will be Sunset Competitions at the main beach.

The Senior competition takes place from 9am to 4pm Saturday.
