Grant For Accessibility Work At Benmiller Hall

The Benmiller Community Hall Committee will receive $50,000 from the Federal Enabling Accessibility Fund.

Huron-Bruce MP made the announcement at the Benmiller Community Hall yesterday.

Committee Chair Gina McDonnell explains the building is currently impossible to navigate for people with mobility issues and the grant will be used to install a lift and an accessible washroom at the lower level.

McDonnell adds the Benmiller Community Hall is used by a number of community groups but the hope is that once the renovations are completed, even more people will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to use the hall.
