Wingham Police Charge Youths at Large Party

Officers with the Wingham Police Service had their hands full early Sunday morning.

They were called to a loud party in the area of Cornyn Street, near Sacred Heart Catholic elementary school, and found more than 100 young people involved. Many of the youths ran from the scene and hid in backyards.

Police laid several charges under the Liquor Licence Act for underage drinking.

Wingham Police remind parents that they could be held liable for any damages caused by party-goers in the surrounding areas.
