Thursday was a very big day for a Huron County company.
Ikea Canada announced it was installing chargers made by Sun Country Highway for electric vehicles at all of its stores across Canada.
The president and founder of the Brucefield company, Kent Rathwell, says the announcement is a vote of confidence from Ikea and further expands the travel possibilities for electric vehicles.
Rathwell adds the new model charger is the only one that can charge an electric vehicle twice as fast as other chargers on the market.
Rathwell says the Sun Country Highway chargers will be available at all 12 Ikea stores across Canada and Ikea is covering the cost.
