More Info On 4-Year-Old's Death On Southgate Farm

Grey County OPP have released new information regarding the death of a 4-year-old boy on a Southgate Township farm on Saturday.

According to a media release sent out on Wednesday, police say blunt force trauma consistent with begin trapped under a tractor tire is what killed the boy.

Emergency crews first responded to the agricultural residence on Hwy. 89 at around 11:35am on Saturday, July 4.

Officials say he was playing in the area where the tire was located.

Foul play is not suspected.

The deceased’s identity is being withheld out of respect for the family.
