Fight At Ball Game Leads To Assault Charges

A weekend scuffle at a baseball game has lead to assault charges for a Bruce Peninsula man.

Grey County OPP were called out to ballpark on Concession 2 in Georgian Bluffs for a report of an assault.

With help from Bruce Peninsula OPP, authorities say a 26-year-old man was assaulted while trying to intervene in an altercation between a baseball player and a bystander.

A 36-year-old from Cape Croker is charged with assault and will appear in Owen Sound Court at the end of the month.
