Grand Bend Man Faces Luring Charges

A Grand Bend man faces charges after a two week OPP investigation dealing with internet luring.

In June, an undercover police officer with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service contacted the man on an internet chat site. The man allegedly chatted with the officer for sexual purposes. The matter was then turned over to the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit for further investigation.

Today, the OPP executed a search warrant at a Grand Bend residence. Four computer devices were seized and are pending forensic analysis.

33-year old Jason Rich of Grand Bend was arrested and charged with two counts of internet luring and two counts of invitation to sexual touching.

The OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit is asking the public to contact them at 705-330-3240 if they have had any dealing with a person online using the pseudo name JSLICE893.

The investigation is continuing.
