The C.Difficile outbreak in one of the wings of the Stratford General Hospital is under control.
Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance CEO Andrew Williams says there have been no new cases in several days, and they have re-opened the Medicine/Stroke Unit to new Admissions.
However, Williams explains in order to declare the outbreak over, they have to go thirty days with no new cases, and they're not quite there yet.
Visitors to the Stratford Hospital are required to follow posted instructions and are asked to limit their interaction to one patient per visit.
Williams says repeated hand washing is key to stopping the spread of the bacteria.
