Bluewater Buys Into Grand Bend Sewer Treatment Plant

Bluewater council has decided to buy into the sanitary sewer treatment plant in Grand Bend.

Discussions on the project involving Lambton Shores and South Huron as well as Bluewater have been underway for several years.

Bluewater doesn't have the immediate need that Lambton Shores does, but still recognizes the importance of the plant for future development.

Mayor Tyler Hessel explains Bluewater will pay just under $47,000 to have the pipe widened to accommodate Bluewater's sewage, if and when that capacity is required.

Hessel points out that if they passed on this opportunity and had to build their own pipe to the plant in the future, it would be a multi-million dollar project.
