SCVA Launch Website To See Watershed Areas

The Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority has launched an online tool that will allow residents to see watershed areas.

Officials say if the location is outside of a shaded area on the map, developers probably don't need to apply for a permit.

"Residents can now refer to this mapping to see if they require a permit before undertaking any kind of development," says Luke Charbonneau, chair of the conservation authority, in a media release. "It’s simple, if you find you’re outside the shaded areas, you probably do not need a permit from the SVCA. It’s a big step forward in streamlining the permit process.”

The map can be accessed by clicking here and agreeing to the SVCA's disclaimer.
