Events to Celebrate Goderich to Guelph Trail

The Goderich to Guelph Trail will officially open on July 1st, but there is activity before then.Paul VanderMolen is the Huron County representative for the trail.

He says there will several events at various locations along the trail on Saturday May 9th as part of an Information Day and fund raiser.    A complete list of events can be found on their web site or Facebook page.

VanderMolen explains under their agreement with the Province,  the trail is designated as 'all-passive', so it can be used for walking, hiking, biking, horse back riding and snowmobiles in some locations.    But no ATVs.

VanderMolen points out the trail was started almost twenty years ago but by filling in all of the sections that were not previously part of the trail.    The G2G Trail will be the longest off-road trail in the Province.
