Goderich Mayor Optimistic During First Annual Luncheon

The new mayor of Goderich hosted his first annual luncheon at the Candlelight Restaurant in Goderich Thursday.

Kevin Morrison told his audience that there is still a lot of promotion to be done for Goderich and all of Huron County, but the response he's been getting indicates people are noticing.

Morrison also mentioned the Goderich airport as one specific area that presents some opportunities but has to be promoted more.

He says during his brief time attending conferences in Toronto he's heard of ten people who live between Grand Bend and Port Albert and drive into Toronto to work for the week, and come home on the weekends.

He adds the owner of a small airline is willing to set up a service that would take them into Toronto every week and he says that's the kind of opportunity that should not be ignored.
