Canadian Honours Exhibit In Exeter

A travelling exhibit about the Canadian Honours Awards system was at the South Huron District High School in Exeter Monday and Tuesday.

Tour Manager Francois Grenier explains 'It's An Honour' celebrates the Canadian Honours system and all of the medals and awards handed out by the governor general.

Grenier says they've been travelling to different schools and communities across the country for about a year and a half, and still have several months to go.

The exhibit is a blend of history and technology, featuring information on military heroes, volunteers, and sports heroes. Every screen in the exhibit is a touch-screen.

The 'It's An Honour' exhibit will be at the Goderich District Collegiate on Friday, and open to the public from 3pm until 6pm.  On Saturday it's open to the public from 1a0m to 5pm.

From there, it heads to Owen Sound, where it will be parked at the Julie McArthur Regional Recreation Centre on Monday, March 16 and Tuesday, March 17.

It will be open to the public in Owen Sound from 11am to 6pm both days.
