Two of the three candidates vying for leadership of the provincial PC's brought their message to Bruce-Grey.
Christine Elliott and Patrick Brown addressed the party faithful at a fundraising dinner in Owen Sound on Friday night.
Elliot says Ontario must get its financial house in order and balance the budget to be able to afford social programs. She says she's the best person to take on the Liberals.
"I believe I'm the candidate that's going to be the best able to take on Kathleen Wynne and win the election for us as Progressive Conservatives based on my experience, both life experience and business experience outside of politics."
Patrick Brown's message is one of cooperation, especially with public sector employees. He vows as leader, while his party is in opposition, he'll consider policies on merit and not be against everything the Liberals come up with. Brown says the provincial PC's need a change after losing the last two provincial elections.
"I think our party needs a reset we need to go back to listen to our members be a grass roots organization and talk about the big issues in Ontario about getting our economy going again, creating jobs and focussing on what Ontario families are concerned about."
The third candidate for the leadership of the PC's, Monte McNaughton was not in attendance at the event in Owen Sound.
