Trustees Vote To Keep Kenilworth Public School Open

The Upper Grand District School Board has voted to keep Kenilworth Public School open.

In a letter sent home to parents on Wednesday, the UGDSB says trustees voted to approve “Option One – Status Quo”, which would not only see the school stay open, but also undergo renovations to allow for full day kindergarten.

Board staff had initially recommended back in January that the school close.

The Wellington North Elementary Accommodation Review - which included Kenilworth, Arthur and Victoria Cross public schools,  started last March.
