North Wellington Committtee Works To Involve Youth

The three communities of Minto, Wellington North and Mapleton are working together to get all youth more involved in their communities.

Alison Vasey of the North Wellington Coalition for Youth Resiliency says the newly formed group is focused on improving the positive aspects in youth development.

As well as being engaged in their community, youth will be offered support where needed.

A public meeting to discuss these issues will be held February 21st at the Kenilworth Public School. Follow on Twitter @youthnorthwelly.

"We’re looking to engage all youth as opposed to typically at risk youth," says Vasey. "We really want to move from instead of looking at problems, to strengths that youth bring to our community."
