Two Charged in Wingham For Possession of Stolen Property

About 8:00 p.m. Sunday, while at a Bristol Terrace residence on an unrelated matter, an officer noticed a young woman who appeared to be sleeping in a parked car.

The officer went to check on the well-being of the woman and observed several items that had recently been reported stolen in Bruce County.

While the officer was dealing with the woman, the owner of the vehicle returned.

Both individuals were placed under arrest for possession of property obtained by crime.

A 36-year-old man is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 and breach of probation.

A 17-year-old Brussels youth is charged with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Both were released and are to appear in court in January.
