Winter Weather Causing Lingering Road Concerns

Drivers are reminded to use extra caution this morning, because roads are snowpacked and icy.

Winds are still causing some blowing snow in parts of our region.

All roads in Grey County are now open.

All other major routes are track-bare and slushy sections. Secondary roads are snowcovered and slippery with drifted sections.

Visibilty is good to fair. There is light snow in many parts of the region. The only heavier snowstreamer on our weather radar this morning is in the Wiarton area.  There are bus cancellations for most of Grey and Bruce Counties this morning.

There is still a snow squall warning for Northern Bruce County. Those areas, and others along the shoreline, could see another 4-8 cm today, with blowing snow.

There is also a blowing snow advisory for southern Bruce, and northern Huron County. A west-southwest wind is expected to get stronger through the morning and afternoon.
