John Nater Running For Conservatives In Federal Election

John Nater will represent the Conservative Party in Perth-Wellington in next year's federal election. Nater defeated Ken Steven at yesterday's nomination meeting in Listowel.

In accepting the nomination, Nater thanked party members for their show of support and said he'd take tomorrow off to rest but promised the campaign would begin on Monday.

He says a strong economy, a balanced budget and providing tax relief for Canadians will be among the priorities at the national level.

Nater says infrastructure funding will be an important issue at the local level and he promises to make sure Perth-Wellington gets the funding the riding needs through the Build Canada Fund.

Currently, Nater sits on council for the municipality of West Perth. He is also a Lecturer at King’s University College, and a long time political assistant. He says he has a decade of political experience at the federal, provincial and municipal level.
