Knights crush Spirit 4-1

The London Knights outplayed the Saginaw Spirit 4-1 in OHL action on Friday.

After a scoreless first period, the Spirit made it on the board 43 seconds into the second frame. However, Paul Cotter and Liam Foudy also scored early in the period to give London a 2-1 lead.

Cotter scored his second of the night 5:11 into the third to extend London's lead to 3-1 and Kevin Hancock scored with just under a minute and a half left in the game to cap off the win for the Knights.

London goalie Joseph Raaymakers made 27 saves out of 28 shots on net.

The Knights are at home on Saturday to take on the Ottawa 67's at 3:30 p.m.
