Knights trample over the Firebirds 6-2

The London Knights topped the Flint Firebirds 6-2 at Budweiser Gardens on Friday.

Nathan Dunkley kicked the game off with a goal for London 18:32 into the first period, but the Firebirds responded with one of their own early in the second to tie the game.

Antonio Stranges and Cole Tymkin scored back-to-back goals in the second frame to give the Knights a 3-1 advantage heading into the third.

Flint scored eight minutes into the final period to bring with within one goal, but Tymkin scored his second of the night 40 seconds later to put London ahead 4-2.  Dalton Duhart and Connor McMichael both scored unanswered goals for the Knights in the final nine minutes of the game to ensure the win.

The Knights are in Owen Sound on Saturday to battle the Attack at 7:30 p.m.
