Londoner killed in two-vehicle crash in Oxford

Oxford OPP are investigating a two-vehicle crash southwest of Ingersoll that has killed one person.

Emergency crews were called to the collision near the intersection of Pigram Road and Salford Road in South-West Oxford at around 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Investigators determined that two vehicles collided on Pigram Road.

Police said a 48-year-old from London was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced deceased.

A second individual was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Police closed the area of Pigram Road and Salford Road as well as Cromarty Drive and Pigram Road for several hours to allow for investigation and to remove debris.

The West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team is assisting with the investigation.
