The collision occurred on Saturday at the intersection of Elgin and Talbot Streets.
"Prior to police arrival the driver of one of the vehicles involved fled from the scene," a police release said. Police confirmed that both vehicles were left at the scene, having suffered serious damage.
No injuries have been reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
