Just after 5:20 a.m. Tuesday, emergency crews were called to Highbury Avenue between Ilderton Road and Ten Mile Road, where three vehicles had collided. Ten people were taken to hospital, four with life threatening injuries. Two of those people, a 23-year-old and a 26-year-old from London, later died from their injuries.

On Wednesday, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police announced that a 26-year-old man is now charged with two counts of dangerous driving causing death and three counts of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

Highbury between Ilderton and Ten Mile was closed for approximately nine hours while investigators were on scene and crews worked to clear debris.
