UPDATE: Early morning blaze deemed suspicious

The London Police Service has now been called in to help investigate an early morning fire in the city's southeast.

Fire crews responded just before 6 a.m. on Saturday to a commercial building at 440 Hamilton Road.

By 6:20 a.m. London Fire Department declared that the fire was out.

Fire officials said that searches didn't find anyone on the premises at the time of the blaze.

Fire Prevention Investigators attended and determined the fire, that caused an estimated $60,000 in damages, was suspicious.

They have since cleared the scene and turned the property back over to the owner.
