Barricaded person taken into custody in Lucan

There was an increased police presence in Lucan-Biddulph on Saturday.

Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a Butler Street address at around noon for what they called an 'active incident'.

In a social media post, police officials assured that there was no threat to public safety.

Officers were on the scene for hours. Just after 10:30 p.m., police confirmed that the incident involved a barricaded person and that it had been resolved.

One person was arrested and taken to hospital as a precaution.

UPDATE- The barricaded-person matter on Butler Street in Lucan @LucanBiddulph has been resolved. One person has been taken into custody and transported to hospital as a precaution. Resources clearing shortly #MiddlesexOPP ^jh
