Londoner charged in Woodstock kidnapping

A London man is the sixth person arrested and charged in connection with the kidnapping of a teenage boy in Woodstock.

Faek Aslhan, 21, of London was arrested Friday. He is charged with armed robbery and kidnapping while using a firearm.

On the morning of October 5, a 15-year-old boy was walking in the area of Fyfe Avenue near Pavey Street when a white Chevrolet Equinox drove up beside him. A number of occupants inside the vehicle started talking to him, when one suspect got out, grabbed the victim, and shoved him into the back seat.

Police say the suspects drove the teen to an area on Upper Thames Drive where they met up with two additional suspects in a red/orange SUV. The suspects stole a vehicle from the teenager's residence and dropped him off in a field on the 43rd Line near Oxford Road 17.

The teen was later taken to hospital for assessment. No life-threatening injuries were reported by police.

The stolen vehicle was recovered by Middlesex OPP, who arrested the driver. The next day, provincial police arrested more suspects when they stopped a vehicle on the Trans-Canada Highway northwest of Thunder Bay.

Three Edmonton men -19-year-old Abdi Yusuf, 21-year-old Yajub Abdi, and 22-year-old Mahad Ibrahinadan - as well as 25-year-old Trevor Mulla of Blumenort, Manitoba and 23-year-old Prince Shema of Labroqurie, Manitoba are facing several charges, including kidnapping while using a firearm, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, armed robbery, and assault with a weapon.

Police are still looking for two other suspects in connection with the incident. They have released photos of them (seen above).

The first is described as a heavy set, Black male between the ages of 30 and 40. He was wearing gold chains around his neck and rings on all fingers. Police say he has a deeper voice with an accent.

The second suspect is described as a Black male with braided hair and a Middle Eastern accent.
