No one hurt in downtown high-rise blaze

London firefighters were on the scene of a high-rise fire on Sunday afternoon.

The blaze broke out around 3 p.m. at 205 Oxford St. E near Richmond Street. It originated in an attached parking garage before spreading to the lower floors of the apartment building.

According to fire officials, two suites were damaged in connection with the blaze.

The public was temporarily asked to avoid the area while crews worked to extinguish the fire.

No injuries were reported.

Fire officials are investigating the cause and the amount of damage sustained during the blaze.
