A suspect made a run for it when London police tried to make an arrest over the weekend.
On Sunday night at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers saw a man riding a bicycle who they knew was wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Investigators say he then ran off when approached by police in the area of Hamilton Road and Rectory Street.
Eventually, they were able to chase the man down, at which point, the suspect resisted arrest.
Police allege the man was carrying the following:
353 grams of suspected Fentanyl;
96 capsules of Hydromorphone;
47 capsules of Oxycodone;
Seven grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine;
Eight capsules of Morphine;
.22 caliber ammunition;
Four .22 calibre ammunition in magazine;
Five .22 caliber ammunition in magazine;
A loaded BB Gun resembling a Glock;
Three cell phones; and
$450 in cash
A 23-year-old man faces the following charges:
Five counts of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking;
Two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order;
Resist arrest; and
Breach of probation.
He was expected to appear in court on Monday.
