Police investigating Ingersoll fire as arson

Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are now investigating a house fire in Ingersoll as arson.

Police and Ingersoll Fire Services were called to a King Street home at around 3:25 a.m. on Sunday. The residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The OPP have now determined that the blaze was set intentionally by unknown suspects.

The Oxford OPP Crime Unit, OPP Forensic Identification Services, and the Ontario Fire Marshal's office continue to investigate.

Police are asking anyone who may have information, or may have video surveillance systems in the area to contact them at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
