Teen charged in southeast London robbery

London police say a 15-year-old girl has been charged in connection with a violent robbery at a southeast-end home over the weekend.

The girl reportedly went to the residence in the area of Shelborne Street and Deveron Crescent around 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. She is then alleged to have assaulted a person who was inside the home before stealing property and taking off.

Police were called and a suspect was arrested a short distance away. The stolen property was also recovered, according to police.

No injuries were reported.

A 15-year-old girl, who cannot be named because of her age, has since been charged with robbery. She is scheduled to appear in court on August 14.
