Multi-vehicle crash sends five to hospital

Police say four vehicles were involved in an east London collision that left three adults and two children hospitalized, some with life-threatening injuries.

Emergency crews were called to Dundas Street and Highbury Avenue North around 11:30 a.m on Saturday.

Of the five victims, two are reportedly in life-threatening condition while the other three suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Highbury Avenue North was closed in all directions between Oxford Street East and Dundas Street for several hours. The roadway re-opened around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Dundas Street remained open to traffic in both directions.

"The investigations is in its preliminary stages and more information will be provided when available," said a statement from the London Police Service (LPS).
