Two killed, two critically hurt in crash west of London

A single-vehicle rollover west of London has left two people dead and two others in hospital fighting for life.

Emergency crews were called to the collision on Amiens Road just south of Melrose Drive in Middlesex Centre around 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

Two people were pronounced dead at the scene, Middlesex OPP said. Their names won't be released until next of kin are notified.

Three others were taken to hospital, two with critical injuries and one with non-life threatening injuries.

Police closed Amiens Road between Melrose Drive and Gold Creek for several hours while they investigated the cause of the crash. West Region OPP tweeted that the road had reopened around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
