Police warn public about London man facing over 30 charges

London Police have issued a public warning regarding a man accused of over 30 criminal charges involving sexual assault, abduction, and child pornography.

According to police, 50-year-old David G. Nicol of London was arrested on Monday by members of the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section after a victim came forward last month.

Police say that in September 2018, a man met a teenaged girl through Snapchat, claiming to be a 14-year-old boy with the username 'Scottyboyy2002.' Over several interactions, the man reportedly offered money and drugs in exchange for sexual favours from the girl. "Fearful for her safety, the victim complied with the accused's requests," London Police report. "Many of the interactions were recorded by the accused on his phone."

Investigators believe there could be additional victims.

Anyone with additional information about the suspect are asked to contact London Police.

The accused is scheduled to appear in London court Wednesday in relation to the charges.
