Suspect sought after more downtown gunfire

For the second time this week, London police are investigating gunfire in the downtown core.

According to London police, officers responded to a 911 call around 2 a.m. Thursday about shots being fired on Richmond Street near Dufferin Avenue. When police arrived, they discovered evidence that a gun had been fired.

"The investigation revealed that a male suspect was involved in an altercation inside of a downtown establishment prior to the reported incident. There were no reported injuries and no damage located," police said.

Police are now asking for the public's help in identifying a man (pictured above) believed to have been involved in the shooting. He is described as a Black male, likely in his early 20s, with hair that was braided in cornrows. He had a thin build and was wearing a black and blue hooded sweater, black shoes, and dark pants.

On Tuesday, police reported that shots had been fired on Carling Street early Monday morning. No injuries were reported in that incident.
