Investigation into crash of small plane in London continues

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is investigating after a small plane went down at the London International Airport.

The four-seater, twin-engine Diamond DA-42 Twin Star crashed in the grass infield at the airport around 1:40 p.m. on Wednesday. According to the TSB, the aircraft was on a test flight after undergoing some maintenance when the pilot lost directional control, descended, and hit the ground at the airport.

Two people aboard the plane were not hurt.

No other details about the crash have been released.

A team of TSB investigators, who arrived in London Thursday, will be examining the wreckage, interviewing witnesses and the crew, and looking at maintenance records to try to piece together what happened.
