Londoners will be able to offer more support to Ukrainians displaced by the Russian invasion through a fundraiser planned for this weekend.
The London Multicultural Community Association is hosting the event at the Polish Combatants Association Hall at 80 Ann St. from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday. The event will feature displays of Ukrainian arts and culture and a performance by the London Barvinok Ukrainian Dance Ensemble. As well, those in attendance will be able to meet and speak with local members of the Ukrainian community and international Ukrainian students.
"We want to show devastated and grieving Ukrainians and Ukrainian-Canadians that the London region and all of Canada stands firmly at their side," event organizers said in a statement.
Other organizations participating in the event are the the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the London Ukrainian Centre.
All money raised at the event will be donated to the Red Cross.
