Impaired driving charge laid in crash that injured one person

Provincial police say alcohol was a factor in a single-vehicle rollover north of Parkhill on Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to Grand Bend Road after a vehicle went off the road and rolled in the ditch around 5:30 p.m.

The driver and lone occupant was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A 26-year-old London man has been charged with operating a vehicle while in impaired by alcohol and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration 80 plus. He is scheduled to appear in court in relation to the charges on April 27.

Middlesex OPP are using the incident to remind the public that if they see a suspected impaired driver to call police immediately.
