St. Thomas man charged with bilking insurance company out of $65K

A 48-year-old St. Thomas man is facing charges after allegedly defrauding an insurance company out of $65,000.

Detectives with the St. Thomas police criminal investigations branch began investigating after getting a complaint from an unnamed insurance company.

The man is accused of working a second job while collecting disability insurance for more than two years, police said.

He has been arrested and charged with fraud over $5,000.
