Arrest warrant issued after stabbing southwest of London

Police are searching for a 20-year-old man accused in an assault that sent another person to hospital on the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.

Middlesex OPP, the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police Service and paramedics were called to a home on Elijah Road just after 7 a.m. on Sunday.

An investigation determined there had been an altercation that ended with a 49-year-old being hurt by what police called an "edged weapon." The 49-year-old was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An arrest warrant was issued on Monday for Jeremiah Doxtator, 20 of Chippewas of the Thames First Nation. He is wanted on charges of assault causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, and failure to comply with a probation order.
