Section of Oxford Street East closed due to crash

There's a major hiccup on the morning commute for anyone who relies on Oxford Street East.

A single-vehicle crash on Oxford between Elizabeth and Gammage streets just before 2 a.m. on Wednesday downed hydro lines, forcing police to close that section of road.

Hydro crews are on scene working to repair the damage.

Police have said that the section of Oxford is likely to remain closed into the afternoon.

Drivers are advised to take alternate routes.

No information about the cause of the crash or whether anyone was hurt has been released.
