18-year-old charged in break-in that sent Woodstock resident to hospital

Charges have been laid against a Toronto teen who is alleged to have broken into a Woodstock home and attacked the person inside.

Woodstock police were called to the residence on Links Crescent, near Highway 59 around 4 a.m. on Monday. Officers found one person suffering from unspecified injuries. That individual was taken to hospital where they remain in stable condition, police said on Tuesday.

No other details about the incident have been released.

An 18-year-old from Toronto was arrested and is charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and breaking and entering with intent to commit an indictable offence.
