Gun, drugs seized from sleeping suspects

Two people face a list of charges after London police officers seized a gun and drugs from two people found sleeping in a stolen car.

Police were called about two people sleeping in a running vehicle that was stopped on Wellington Road on Sunday. According to police, the vehicle had been reported stolen on Saturday. When officers searched the car, they found a .22 calibre handgun, cocaine, fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, Dilaudid pills, and a digital scale.

Police say the drugs were worth roughly $12,000.

A 34-year-old and a 40-year-old, both from London, are each facing drug and firearms charges. The 34-year-old is also charged with theft of a motor vehicle.
