St. Thomas police reach full vaccination policy compliance

A day after the London Police Service said 90 per cent of its employees have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, the police service in St. Thomas have announced that its employees are in full compliance with its vaccine policy.

The St. Thomas Police Service said Wednesday that 100 per cent of its employees have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. That includes officers, civilian staff, and court support staff. Police say just a few staff members are still awaiting their second dose.

"The St. Thomas Police Service has put the health and safety of our community and our members first throughout the entire pandemic and are very pleased with the overwhelming compliance of our members," a statement from the St. Thomas Police Service said.

Employees of the St. Thomas Police Service had until October 15 to provide proof of vaccination or submit a request for accommodation.
